3 DAYS BWINDI

DAY1: KAMPALA- BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK (527 KMS)
 Depart from Kampala early morning and proceed south-west. Have a stop over at the Equator for photos. The drive takes you through savannah grasslands seeing banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle with their incredible long curving horns. Then you ascend into the Kigezi highlands, known as the "Switzerland of Africa", with terraced farming and mountain scenery to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Overnight at Buhoma Homestead (www.wildfrontiers.co.ug) for Luxury accommodation or Mantana tented Camp for Medium range accommodation and Buhoma Community FB. Overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp for Luxury accommodation or Mantana tented Camp/Lake Kitandara Camp for Medium range accommodation and Buhoma Community for budget accomodation (FB).

DAY 2: GORILLA TREKKING
Go for gorilla tracking walking up steeply in the dense rain forest through different animals’ trails allowing access to tourists. Gorilla tracking is an inspiring and wonderful adventure which one can’t miss. The Gorilla is a shy and peaceful animal and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact. Enjoy the Buhoma Village Walk organized by the local community. Overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp for Luxury accommodation or Mantana tented Camp/Lake Kitandara Camp for Medium range accommodation and Buhoma Community for budget accomodation (FB).

DAY3: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK – KAMPALA (527 KMS)
After an early morning breakfast drive back to Kampala with a stopover in Mbarara for lunch.
A note for Trekkers: Remember to bring heavy leather gloves, stout hiking boots, long sleeves shirts, long pants, a light back-pack, and water-bottle. In case you have more time you can combine this tour with CTS2: Queen Elizabeth National Park.
