7 Days Murchison Falls, Wildlife and Chimpanzees - CTS02


This tour takes you to Murchison Falls, Kibale forest and Queen Elizabeth National Parks. Highlights include the mighty Murchison Falls, Chimpanzee treks, game drives, boat cruises and birding.


Day1.

Meet and greet at your hotel in Kampala at 8.00 hrs by Crystal Guide who will warmly welcome you and brief you about your safari. Transfer to Murchison falls National Park with a stop over in Masindi for lunch. Proceed to the top of the dramatic falls that are crashing through a narrow gorge. Enjoy the sunset as you return to the lodge. Excellent services of Paraa Safari Lodge, Nile Safari Camp or Sambiya River Lodge. FB

Day2.
   After an early morning breakfast, cross the Nile river o the Northern bank for a game drive. You will be able to spot see cape buffalo, elephant, roth child's giraffe, lion, hartebeest, oribi, waterbuck, bohor reed buck, bushbuck, hyena and lucky enough will be able to see the leopard. After a packed lunch, go for a boat safari from Paraa to the bottom of the mighty exciting falls. You will view the largest crocodiles in Africa, hippos, elephant from a distance, Uganda cob, water bucks and birds like the Shoebill which is only found in Uganda. Overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge, Nile Safari Camp or Sambiya River Lodge. FB

   Day3.
   Transfer to Fort Portal driving through the country side with a stop over for lunch en-route. You will have a chance to view local farms on your way and your will arrive Fort Portal late afternoon. Overnight at Ndali Lodge or Rwenzori View Guest House. FB

   Day4.
 After Breakfast go for chimpanzee tracking. You will also the opportunity to see other primates including l'hoestes, red colobus, blue red tailed and gray cheeked mangabey. Enjoy the services of our guide who will give you detailed information on primates, forest, flora and fauna. Overnight at Ndali Lodge or Rwenzori View Guest House. FB    

Day 5
 Proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain range for most of the journey. A game drive en-route may be rewarded by seeing a lot of wild animals such as elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, hyena and variety of antelope species. After lunch, enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. You will see a lot of hippos and other animals may be seen drinking at water's edge. During this launch cruise you will have opportunity to take photographs, game viewing and bird watching with over 550 resident species of colourful birds for you to enjoy. Overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge or Jacana Safari Lodge. FB   

 Day 6
Today we have an early morning game. Queen Elizabeth National Park is a home of abundant wildlife with grassy plains, and volcanic craters. You will have an excellent opportunity to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, cape buffalo, elephants, defassa waterbuck, Uganda kob, topi and bushbuck. Overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge or Jacana Safari Lodge. FB

Day 7
Go for an exciting nature walk to Maramagambo Forest to catch a glimpse of a variety of primates including chimpanzee. Visit the bat caves and the 'Blue Lake'. Or visit Kyambura Gorge to track one of man's closest relatives "chimpanzees" which are unpredictable to see because they are quite mobile but the walk is enchanting. Then drive back to Kampala with a stop over for lunch en-route. Stop at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers en-route where you will be able to watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through the generations. There will also be time to stop at the Equator for photographs. You will arrive in Kampala in the early evening.
